Mark Oppenheimer is a practicing advocate and member of the Johannesburg Bar.  He has represented newspapers that are threatened by defamation suits, individuals that were wrongfully arrested by the police and property owners that have been mistreated by municipalities. Mark presented a submission to Parliament on legislation that threatens free speech. He has appeared on the Renegade Report, ANN7 and CNBC Africa to discuss the bill of rights and the rule of law. He has also written a series of articles about non-racial affirmative action, property rights and threats to free speech for Politicsweb, Business Day and City Press.
